Alabama's High Point Trip Reports

Back to High Points

Cheaha Mountain stands 2,407 feet above sea level in Cheaha State Park. It is named after a Creek Indian word, "Chaha", which means high place. The stone observation tower at the summit was built by the CCC and is accessible via a paved road. Along with the tower, there are multiple commercial and public service transmitters, including one for Alabama Public Television.
